Required Information for Submission
Applications for the Innovation Marketplace opened on 28 May and will close on 6 August through our event management platform, Dryfta. Please click here to submit your application.

  • Lead Organization: List the name of the primary organization submitting this application.

  • Background(150 word limit): Provide a brief overview of the innovation, including how and why it was developed.

  • Innovation Stage (150 word limit): Please select the current stage of your innovation according to the Duke CASE Stages of Innovation Framework, which explores the maturity of the idea, evidence of impact, and readiness to scale. NOTE: More than one stage can be selected if the innovation is at different stages in different geographies. Please explain your choice briefly using the box below.
    • Ideation/Concept Development: A new or adapted idea with potential, but no formal testing yet.
    • Proof of Concept/Prototype: Initial model or method is being tested in a limited setting.

  • User-Centered Design (150 word limit): Describe how your innovation caters (or has the potential to cater) to the needs of its end-users (e.g., mothers, healthcare providers, community health workers, etc.). Specifically, explain how the design is intuitive, accessible, and tailored to the specific contexts and challenges faced by its audience.
  • Inclusivity and Equity (150 word limit): Describe how your innovation address health disparities and works to ensure equitable access, especially for marginalized or underserved populations. Specifically, explain how it is designed with cultural sensitivity and understanding of the local contexts where it will be used.
  • Potential for Far-Reaching Impact (150 word limit): Describe how your innovation can be scaled or replicated to create broader change across different settings.
  • Supporting Evidence (150 word limit): What evidence supports the continued use of this innovation? Include links to published research, grey literature, and/or summaries of ongoing or planned studies.
  • Draft Agenda (150 word limit): Describe how time will be structured for your booth or demonstration, as well as who will facilitate the activites included. The Innovation Marketplace format is informal and designed for brief, interactive conversations as attendees circulate. Interactivity is strongly encouraged.
  • Interactivity of Planned Agenda (100 word limit): Does your draft agenda offer hands-on engagement, a tangible product demo, participatory dialogue, or informal presentations that align with the Marketplace format?
  • Alignment with Marketplace Theme (100 word limit): Rather than a simple showcase, this year’s Innovation Marketplace will explore a central question: “What propels a global health innovation from concept to change?” Please describe some of the enabling activities and key milestones that you believe have ben most important in advancing your innovation from concept to change.
  • Relevance and Key Question (150 word limit): Articulate one key question you hope to explore for this innovation during the Innovation Marketplace. How would attendee input inform the advancement of your innovation? What outcomes or insights do you hope to gain from participating in this event?

Final Declarations (to confirm upon submission):

  • All intellectual property holders (if applicable) have approved public presentation of this innovation.
  • All innovation partners (if applicable) have agreed to public presentation at IMNHC.
  • Applicant agrees to comply with all sponsor-related declarations, including adherence to the International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes, and relevant ethical standards.
