Satellite Sessions Overview

Official sponsored satellite sessions offered organizations the opportunity to develop and host an in-depth session on focused issues. Satellite sessions aligned with the goals and vision of IMNHC 2026, addressed one or more conference tracks, and centered and amplified the experiences and voices of individuals living and working in low- and middle-income countries.

With a 3.5-hour timeslot (AM and PM), satellite sessions offered organizations the platform to create a generative space that fostered collective thinking on focused topics to solve challenges in new and different ways.

IMNHC provided the meeting room space, standard audiovisual and room set-up, and included the event in the official conference program.  Each session must be open to all registered attendees (not invite-only), and the selection of official satellite sessions was based on both the strength of the application and the payment of a fee to sponsor. Entities/organizations may also have organized and funded unofficial satellites or side events that were not considered part of the official IMNHC program, outside of IMNHC program hours. These unofficial satellite/side events did not require a formal application.

Format and Experience

Satellite sessions took place in either approximately 100-person rooms set in theater style or approximately 250 person rooms that can be set in theater style or round tables. Held on Tuesday March 24, the first full day of conference programming, satellite sessions were an official part of IMNHC programming.
